2010 Awards Night The first-ever Canadian winners of Product of the Year were celebrated on January 21, 2010 at a special awards ceremony in Toronto. Special guests included Alan Middleton, Executive Director Schulich Executive Education Centre and Product of the Year Jury Chair, who spoke about the importance of product innovation, and Chris Louden, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Marketing Magazine, who was the MC for the awards ceremony. TNS Consumer Research Methodology Product of the Year has partnered with TNS Global to leverage their experience in managed access panels to deliver research consistent with the methodology developed for this survey and used around the world for more than 20 years. Product of the Year Canada will survey a balanced and representative sample of 12,000 consumer households from across Canada. |

POY Logo Increases Purchase Intent By 25% According to the results of a recent TNS monthly Omnibus Express survey, inclusion of the Product of the Year Logo on a package is 25% more likely to positively influence Purchase Intent than using the word “New!” In addition, the survey found that women are 10% more influenced by the POY logo than the general population. The survey included interviews with 1,000 representative households in the U.S.
